Family trip to Dallas

We went to Dallas/Fort Worth in March. We spent a day at Six Flags, went to a rodeo and the Dallas Aquarium.

Carter's Basketball Season

Carter played basketball for the first time this season. He enjoyed learning the rules of the game and getting to know the other boys.


His team was called the Longhorns which means we had to actually root for Longhorns. Not an easy thing for us to do.
The team went 5-3.

This was clearly a foul, but the refs missed it. Somethings are the same no matter how young the players are.

It was a good first season and he can't wait for next year.

Brennan is two!

We celebrated Brennan's second birthday today. Here come the terrible twos!!

Pinewood Derby

Carter participated in his first Pinewood Derby. He won two races before being knocked out by the eventual winner.

He named his car The Safety Vest because of the colors he chose to paint the car. He won the Neon Feon award for the most colorful car.

MLK Day/Obama Inauguration

As our family celebrates the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the inauguration of our nation's 44th President we are thankful to live in a nation where we have been able to take a giant step towards fulfilling Dr. Kings dream that people could be judged not "by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

Regardless of whether you are a democrat or republican the fact that our nation overwhelmingly elected our first African-American is something that we can all celebrate.
