Brennan's 3rd Birthday!!

Brennan loves Spongebob right now. I asked him what kind of cake he wanted he said a Spongebob cake. It actually turned out pretty cute. He was happy with it. He kept telling me that it was the best Spongebob cake he had ever seen!

We had a fun day with the family that day. We took the kids to a Texas Tech basketball game and of couse ate nachos and popcorn. Then Brennan wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese. The kids had a blast playing all the games and eatting pizza. Since Brennan is such a big boy now, we decided that he was too big for his toddler bed. We have him in the bottom bunk of the bunk beds now. To help with the transition, we bought him Spongebob sheets and comforter for his new big boy bed. He loves it!! He also got a Hot Wheels race track and cars from his grandparents and the Cars Color Changer Car Wash.
He had a great birthday!

It was October 18, 2009 in Norman OK. On October 18, 1993, 17 years earlier, we went on a date to our first U2 concert in Kansas City. This was our 6th U2 show that we have been to together. We saw show #5 in Dallas just a week before the Norman concert.

South Plains Fair 2009

We always have such a fun time every year at the fair. The kids enjoyed going on the rides and seeing the animals. Oh, and I can't forget the awesome greasy food!! Carter tried a fried Milky Way this year. Our favorite foods have to be the roasted corn and corndogs. The first night we all went to ride the rides. Emma and Carter enjoyed the freedom of being able to go around the carnival on their own this year. They showed that they were responsible and they had a blast! It was nice to get to be with Brennan at the kiddie rides. This was his first year being big enough to ride some things. His favorite rides were the motorcycles and airplanes.

They always have concerts at the fair that are free with admission. Last year we saw the Gin Blossoms. This year we saw Eddie Money. We got there a little late, but we enjoyed the last half of his show. He puts on a good show for an old guy! Well, I have to tell you why we were late! Our chuch has an annual chili cook-off and dessert contest. Last year I made apple dumplings and they won 1st place! I made a cheesecake this year and won 1st place AGAIN!! It made us late for the concert, but it was well worth it!

Newest addition

This is Lulu the newest additon to our family. A passenger who was flying out of Lubbock didn't want to pay the pet fee and gave the dog to one of Charles' employee's who gave it to Charles. The kids are in love.

Family trip to Dallas

We went to Dallas/Fort Worth in March. We spent a day at Six Flags, went to a rodeo and the Dallas Aquarium.

Carter's Basketball Season

Carter played basketball for the first time this season. He enjoyed learning the rules of the game and getting to know the other boys.


His team was called the Longhorns which means we had to actually root for Longhorns. Not an easy thing for us to do.
The team went 5-3.

This was clearly a foul, but the refs missed it. Somethings are the same no matter how young the players are.

It was a good first season and he can't wait for next year.
